Alexis Rebane
End-of-Life Specialist
Certified Clinical Hypnotist
I provide end-of-life coaching to people at all stages, often remotely, so you can receive support from the comfort of your own home. My services include activities like grief support, hypnosis, guidance in the creation of a living will, facilitation of a difficult conversation, the officiation of a memorial, and manuscript editing.
Experiences of profound loss have allowed me to empathetically support grieving individuals since 1995. As a certified clinical hypnotist, certified end-of-life doula, hospice volunteer, and community mediator, I have practice holding space for those going through emotionally-challenging situations. I believe in clear, compassionate communication around difficult topics like death and dying. I embrace my exquisite sensitivity and offer vulnerability, honesty, and authenticity to every connection.
My earliest memory of death is the passing of my family’s sweet German Shepherd when I was 3. Since then, I have had a complex relationship to existence/non-existence. Upon learning about suicide as an 8-year-old, I began a profound journey that comprised anxiety, depression, and ultimately an attempt to take my life after an extended illness at age 20. On my 30th birthday, my beloved began a 10-month relationship with an aggressive cancer and did not recover. These and other intense experiences have provided me with the understanding and empathy necessary to sit with others through times of grief and loss.
Born and raised in Minnesota, I now call Colorado home and love that I can offer my services remotely to people located anywhere in the world. During the warmer months I enjoy ultimate frisbee and camping, and when it’s cold I ski with my husband, cuddle up with my two cats, or print black and white photos in my makeshift darkroom.
